This is a blog special. We went to our dear friend Ujal's wedding this weekend and wanted to share. Erik was at the groom's house on the wedding day and at the ceremony. In the evening he had a sleepover at Mormor and Morfar's.
We arrived at the Thakor residence at 7:45 am. ( Erik gets up at 6:00am anyways so it was no big deal ) He and his parents partook in a home ceremony and blessing. Family and friends on the grooms side gathered around.
There were about 10 wedding cars decorated. There was a planned procession and we got to be the lead car.
This was a tradition where Ujal got chased out of his house by his mother. I think he overdid it and ran halfway up the block.
Ujal was adorned in yellow by his female relatives.
Erik decided to have a nap and take it easy before the big ceremony.
Daddy and Erik sat outside on the deck and drank Chai's while the groomsmen ran around picking different people up and looking for their belts and socks.
