What is New?

Erik has grown up a lot in the past month since Grandma and Grandpa from Ottawa came to visit. He started walking around July 2nd on his dad's birthday. Ever since, he has gained speed and self confidence.

This morning before daycare, Daddy took him out to the garage to get in the car. He usually likes to play with his wagon in the garage for a little bit first. Today he decided to take a walk down the long driveway. He even stayed on the sidewalk because he had learned from experience that the grass is harder to walk on. He made plenty of squealing and talking noises as he made his way to the mailboxes and back to Daddy.

Every morning he watches Daddy shave ( as I have already left the house for work ). This morning he managed to figure out how to flush the toilet.

Daycare says that he is very happy and he eats a lot, including even macaroni and cheese. He doesn't eat pasta at home. Maybe watching other kids helps.

I took him to the Library on monday and I was excited that he could walk around and pick out his own books. It was quite the challenge though. As you can imagine, he pulled out many many books and made a big mess for me to clean up after. He also went around and bugged other kids playing on the computers. He isn't exactly the quietest either. His favourite book at the moment is "Ten Fat Sausages".

Erik is no longer drinking out of a bottle. He has done so much growing up. His Mormor watches him every other monday and they were at the Zoo the other day. He was playing on the playground and she said the other kids still refer to him as "The Baby". It doesn't help that his hair is still very thin and light.
