Lei Making

I signed up for a lei making class this morning while Erik and Jamie went for a stroll. No other men were in the class. I was a bit disappointed though... I found the class quite stressful. The instructor barely showed us anything at all, and was making her own lei at the same time, really quickly, and then made a second one. You see, there were only so many flowers... all carnations. Half of all of them were red, and the rest were white, pink, and purple. I decided to use some red in mine even if I didn't want to, out of courtesy to everyone else.

Two not very thoughtful ladies were using only purple. That wasn't very fair! They kept coming over to the flowers in front of me and taking all the purple ones. How rude!!

Plus, the instructor was taking all the flowers too to make TWO leis... and guess what? She said she was going to sell them at the front desk!!! We had to pay for this class. Hmrrph.

I could make a lei for Erik, but he would eat it, plus it is dangerous for him to have it around his neck.

Hopefully the rest of the day will be less stressful! Ok ok... I am sure some of you are sitting at your desks at work truly stressing out over real stuff, not over who is going to get which colour flower!

Another photo off our lanai. You can see the island of Molokai in better detail this morning.
